Baby massage gives parents the opportunity to experience the relaxing benefits of interaction with baby in a calm and warm environment. During the sessions parents are able to experience special time with their baby communicating through touch and eye contact; this helps baby feel loved, valued and respected.
As a trained IAIM instructor I will teach a full body massage routine for baby over 5 sessions. There will also be time for discussion and refreshments at the end of each session. Each massage stroke will be demonstrated by myself on a doll for you then to practice on your baby. There will be a review every week of previous strokes learnt.
I look forward to meeting you and your baby.
Hello, I’m Jane a mum of three boys and a Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI) having trained with International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM). I am also a registered midwife and health visitor. I have the opportunity to work with and support families through pregnancy, birth and until their children go to school. I have significant knowledge and experience in helping families grow and develop by helping support them with the joys and challenges of being a new parent. I have a special interest in mother and baby's emotional health and facilitate classes to help with postnatal depression and anxieties in the post-natal period. I have been able to see how important bonding time with baby is and how infant massage can help parents to bond with their baby through nurturing touch.
